The “Circle of the Word” is a learning space created by Pawanka Fund to facilitate knowledge exchange among Indigenous communities from different regions.
The program offers online courses on topics related to Indigenous knowledge, community practices, and cultural learning processes. These courses are designed to be accessible and open to participants from different backgrounds.
The initiative encourages dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and collaborative learning among participants.
Participants who register will receive a notification when new courses begin. At the end of each course, participants receive a certificate of participation.

El “Círculo de la Palabra” es un espacio innovador y colaborativo creado por Pawanka Fund, dedicado al intercambio de conocimientos entre los pueblos indígenas de todo el mundo. Funciona como una escuela inclusiva y accesible, ofreciendo cursos gratuitos sobre temas de gran relevancia para todo el ecosistema indígena. Este espacio no solo fomenta el aprendizaje y la transmisión de saberes ancestrales, sino que también promueve la inteligencia colectiva y el Buen Vivir.
La inteligencia colectiva permite que las comunidades indígenas unan sus conocimientos y experiencias para generar soluciones más efectivas y sostenibles frente a los desafíos que enfrentan. El concepto de Buen Vivir, fundamental en muchas culturas indígenas, está integrado en los cursos del “Círculo de la Palabra” para fortalecer la armonía con la naturaleza, la cohesión comunitaria y el bienestar integral.
De esta manera, el “Círculo de la Palabra” no solo potencia las capacidades individuales y comunitarias, sino que también contribuye a la preservación y revitalización de la identidad cultural de los pueblos indígenas.

For centuries, Indigenous Peoples have developed unique ways of healing, farming, teaching, naming the stars, and caring for water. This knowledge is not a thing of the past — it is a living response to the challenges of today.
El Círculo de la Palabra invites you on a journey through the ancestral knowledge of Indigenous Peoples from around the world. Different voices, one shared conviction: life is cared for through knowledge.
Across three modules, you will explore:
What ancestral knowledge is and why it still matters today 
How it is transmitted: through word, body, territory, and ritual 
How it is applied in medicine, agriculture, astronomy, child-rearing, and much more

METHODOLOGY

2.During three weeks you will receive the learning modules in your email.
3. In the modules you will find information and guides for practical exercises.
4. Share your progress and knowledge in the closed body on Facebook with the course participants.
