Circle of the word

Ixil women weavers Pawanka Exchange Meeting Guatemala 2018

The «Circle of Words» is an innovative and collaborative space created by Pawanka Fund, dedicated to the exchange of knowledge among indigenous peoples worldwide. It functions as an inclusive and accessible school, offering free courses on topics of great relevance to the entire indigenous ecosystem. This space not only fosters learning and the transmission of ancestral knowledge but also promotes collective intelligence and Buen Vivir (Good Living). Collective intelligence allows indigenous communities to unite their knowledge and experiences to generate more effective and sustainable solutions to the challenges they face. The concept of Buen Vivir, fundamental in many indigenous cultures, is integrated into the courses of the «Circle of Words» to strengthen harmony with nature, community cohesion, and overall well-being. In this way, the «Circle of Words» not only enhances individual and community capacities but also contributes to the preservation and revitalization of the cultural identity of indigenous peoples.

COURSES

The Circle of the Word was created so that this knowledge might reach further, touch more hearts, and be recognised for what it has always been: one of the most profound ways of understanding existence.
Here you will find materials from our previous courses, available to download, read, share and use to continue learning at your own pace. Each document is an invitation to take your place in the circle, to listen attentively and to recognise in this ancestral wisdom something that, perhaps, you already carried within you.
Download, share and continue on your journey.
