PREFACE
The Pawanka Fund organized seven sub regional virtual meetings with 44 local counterparts from Pawanka Fund and Climate Justice Resilience Fund (CJRF), between July and October this year on the theme of “Indigenous Peoples, Traditional Knowledge and Climate Resilience”.
The aim was to create a space to have a dialogue, exchange learnings and have a collective reflection, resilient actions, innovations and strategies on the threats and challenges faced in relation to the impacts of climate change, based on our traditional knowledge.
The contribution of traditional knowledge in building climate resilience is worldwide recognize, because Indigenous Peoples are the carries of this practice, their livelihood depends on this, to ensure sustainability and transmission from generation to generation.
Therefore, these meetings contributes to enhance the collaboration between the Indigenous peoples and to build stronger alliances to face the challenges of climate change.
