The True Cost of our Food Systems – EAT@Home episode 3

Episode 3 of EAT@Home focuses on how small-scale food producers can receive their fair share.

We’ll visit farmers in Bolivia and Ethiopia; and to learn lessons from another pandemic, we’ll head to farming communities in Sierra Leone with Idris and Sabrina Elba.

Then, we’ll dive into the wonders of the blue world: from the coast of Chile to the bay of Bengal, we’ll meet fishers and aquatic farmers; important, but often overlooked, parts of the food system.

You will hear from the experts behind the Blue Food Assessment and the Food Systems Economics Commission; and we’ll speak to leaders such as the IFAD President Gilbert Houngbo and Myrna Cunningham, Chairperson, steering committee of the indigenous peoples’ forum at IFAD.

Our studio chef, Emilie Nereng is joined by the brilliant Canadian chef Suzanne Barr showcasing fun and delicious recipes. EAT’s founder Gunhild Stordalen will sit down with CARE USA’s President and CEO Michelle Nunn for an informative conversation about her vision for advancing equitable livelihoods, in light of the upcoming UN Food Systems Summit.
