The Women of the MUTESA Women’s Weaving and Knowledge Cultural House are enterprising, innovative and managerial women. Positioning the products in high markets to favor the generation of income of indigenous women. The work is carried out by a team of women with good leadership. The balance and distribution of work and the prioritization of the needs ofwomen and the good remuneration of their work, is a priority of the fundamental rights of women in Casa MUTESA.
Through the production, transformation and commercialization of wild fruits harvested and cultivated in the Colombian Amazon and that the legal, technical and sanitary conditions for the production of the ice creams have been carried out, a strong marketing campaign is expected

The MUTESA Corporation is an organization for displaced indigenous women from the Colombian Amazon region living in Bogotá, Colombia. The work began in 2009, with the aim of developing activities for the preservation of culture, mother language, and traditional knowledge of indigenous mothers and their families in an urban context. The board of directors consists of five women. The legal representative is appointed by assembly. Women maintain a close relationship with their territorial authorities. The work is carried out using strategies including “fabrics and native gastronomy” with their own products that correspond to traditions that maintain the bond between displaced women and women still in the region, as well as strengthening fraternal bonds and mutual aid, preserving and strengthening the traditional knowledge of women as great experts in the use of native species and the raw material used and produced in accordance with our ecological calendar.
