Local Partner: Native American Land Conservancy
NALC will organize a Learning Landscapes program for Native American youth and families that focuses on Indigenous Language immersion. The beautiful sacred lands of their ancestors along with the teachings from their own Indigenous languages are critical for the intergenerational transmission of culture, spiritual values, and identity. The NALC will incorporate the innovative practice of combining language learning sessions from tribal elders that will be offered virtually in advance with on-site activities at the Old Woman Mountain Preserve or Coyote Hole that will enable immersion and application of vocabulary and language lessons studied and learned.
