On May 24, 2023 Guam received a direct hit from super typhoon Mawar. The typhoon had maximum sustained winds of up to 150 mph as it passed over the island. In the aftermath of the typhoon, many residents of the island are still without electricity and water. Many houses as well as vehicles were destroyed across the island.
Emergency aid will be distributed among CHamorru families. with cleaning supplies, gas cards, drinking water, support with shelter among others.
