Kivulini Trust
To provide emergency support to herders and families who lost their livestock during the prolonged drought (that lasted more than four years) and, thus, their main source of livelihood. It will buy and give a viable number of hardy goats to families. Since the animals will take time to breed, the initiative will provide some essential food staff to the selected beneficiaries.
To mitigate any further socio-economic vulnerabilities in these communities’ post-long drought seasons and increase their resilience to overcome the effects of these droughts through re-stocking goats and providing foodstuff for families in the four most vulnerable and affected villages: Billiqo Marara community, Gafarsa community, Gotu community, and Barambate community.
