Centers of Distinction on Indigenous and Local Knowledge (COD-ILK)
Promoting respect and recognition of Indigenous and Local Knowledge in local-global knowledge-policy platforms, supporting organisations of Indigenous Peoples and linking them horizontally and vertically for strengthened collaboration based on cultural values and deep relationships between nature and cultures.Particularly, securing continuity of work of the COD-ILK network and secretariat, enhancing platforms for cultural and knowledge exchange, including popularizing experiences on inter-generational transmission of knowledge. Activities include meetings of the network, development of information management system, production and distribution of newsletter, website maintenance, publication of book on global workshop on inter-generational transmission of ILK, and webinars on the 2050 Biodiversity Strategy.
