Covenant of Nations Planning Committee
The goal of the Covenant of Nations: Sacred Wampum Gathering is to revitalize the original strong, respectful relationship between the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Anishinaabeg Nation to be better able to respond to challenges to nationhood, the environment, and the future of both nations. It will be working towards the renewal of pre-colonial allyship, between these two great confederacies. This will be a ceremonial gathering of traditional leaders, elders and knowledge holders, and NOT a colonial, political gathering. The gathering is being planned for fall 2022 or spring 2023.
