Local Partner: Association of Altai Republic Protected Areas (AARPA)
This initiative is a continuation of the Kara Suu initiative (2019) and is aimed at making improvements to frequently visited freshwater springs in order to continue educating people about traditional cultural practices around springs, protecting sources from pollution and drying up, as well as preserving the status of these sites as collectively-held by Altai’s Indigenous peoples.
