This project aims to strengthen the initiatives and practices of the indigenous peoples and nationalities of Ecuador, within the framework of food sovereignty, intercultural health and community communication from a gender perspective as strategies of resilience from the indigenous peoples to face the crisis generated by covid-19.
this project contemplates the accompaniment and makes visible the fundamental role played by women in small-scale food production, the preservation of ancestral knowledge, the recovery of agroecological practices and the sustainability of food and nutritional sovereignty and security in the context of the health emergency.
Se han promovido espacios propios de comercialización para 10 organizaciones de mujeres pertenecientes a 3 pueblos y nacionalidades indígenas. La CONAIE ha fortalecido el Frente nacional en defensa, agua y los territorios, en el que participan más de 40 comunidades en resistencia ante el avance del extractivismo en sus territorios, logro en el marco de las mesas de diálogo. Se logró a través del proyecto de Amnistía presentado en la Asamblea Nacional el cese de procesos de persecución y criminalización a más de 200 lideres y lideresas indígenas, criminalizados por ejercer su derecho a la protesta social, defensa del territorio y aplicación de la justicia indígena. Se logró la firma de convenio interinstitucional entre la Cinemateca y la Radio Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana. Adicional a lo anterior, producto de este convenio se tiene previsto la digitalización de 2400 archivos históricos y se radio CONAIE.

The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador, CONAIE is an organization that brings together the Nationalities, Peoples, communities, Centers and Indigenous Associations of Ecuador. The Nationalities and indigenous peoples of Ecuador have resisted forms of domination, exploitation and discrimination since the colony, for more than five centuries has presented the genocide and ethnocide against humanity, in particular the indigenous world; we have been annihilated partially, in ABYA-YALA. The traces, constructions of sacred buildings, the roads, the findings express vividly about the origin of indigenous knowledge and technology in the past and in the present.
