The main objective of this project is to ensure the food security of the communities and provide indigenous peoples with healthy and nutritious products, for self-consumption and commercialization. Different strategies are promoted such as the development of short distribution routes, the articulation with other actors such as cooks in cities and specialized stores.  

 Some of the expected results include four crops and native aromatic / medicinal plants identified and recovered, two products for Uruguayan Gastronomy promoted and the implementation of orchards agro ecological accompanied by capacity building process. The project also include components for the organizational strengthening of CONACHA. 

Local Partner: 

The Council of the Charrúa Nation (CONACHA) emerged in 2005 to unify the Charrúa communities that existed in the country and generate a single voice before the State and society. It works under the ancestral values
