To support indigenous food security and climate resilience through producing a video on establishing an indigenous seed bank; mentoring indigenous growers & holding workshops and producing a book on seeds, heritage food & medicine aligned with the traditional lunar calendar. 

We shared our seeds and skills, grew more young activist farmers and strengthened the movement for food sovereignty and community self determination.  The land taught us harmony, balance and community. When we put our hands in the soil we show deep reverance for the land and the wisdom of our ancestors.his programme support indigenous food security and climate resilience through producing a video on establishing an indigenous seed bank; mentoring indigenous growers & holding workshops and producing a book on seeds, heritage food & medicine aligned with the traditional lunar calendar.The video on establishing an indigenous seed bank includes principles of an indigenous seed bank, How to gather, process and store heritage seeds, how seed attains climate resilience and the teachings of seed from an indigenous perspective. Mentoring included garden workshops throughout the year, extending beyond the original grant application. Farmers, schools and budding growers attended in field workshops and 1000s more interested people joined the online sharing on Facebook.The final product of this initiative is a book on seeds, heritage food & medicine aligned with the traditional lunar calendar.
