A cultural arts education in traditional ways and beliefs inspires young people to become responsible leaders and stewards of indigenous knowledge in their community.
To promote the interaction between youth, women and elders in maintaining indigenous sovereignty through cultural and performing art traditions in PNG. Save PNG will use an educational video model for local communities to communicate how language, culture and land is continually sustained through Bilas ethics and practice. This information will have a life changing impact on target audiences through television and web broadcasts, peer education and social media campaigns.
Promoting performing arts in elevating indigenous knowledge as a key factor in traditional governance, cultural preservation & youth development. Indigenous youth are being educated on the social, health and community benefits of performing arts & cultural practices from a grassroots approach.
