Climate Resilience; Beadwork for Economy Recovery and Learning “Menyanyuk Osiligi O Pala”

This initiative aims to design a two-year economic recovery and rebuilding strategy after a prolonged drought in East Africa that will provide a sustainable source of livelihood for the indigenous women and consequently empower them socially and economically. It will also address the underlying causes of vulnerability to strengthen resilience and promote pastoralists’ adaptation to climate change.

To support the economic recovery and rebuilding strategy that will provide a sustainable source of livelihood for Indigenous women through their local economies of bead products by branding and marketing them and facilitating different Indigenous women’s local groups to form Indigenous women cooperatives for the beads business to ensure the project’s sustainability.
