I Hagan Famalao’an Guåhan (IHFG), Inc.
IHFG planned activities focused on language revitalization for both children and adults. The initiative´s goal was to restore indigenous language use within CHamoru households and the community by making language education more accessible to CHamoru women and children.
As part of the initiative, adult language classes were offered for parents of the students enrolled in the initiative. While much of the cultural learning curriculum was delivered within the classroom the values of language were in stilled among generations of elders and the families’ matriarchal lineage
