Ikaarvik
Ikaarvik seeks to empower Inuit youth to be the leaders in reshaping Arctic science. Inuit youth are exploring the potential for an Indigenous-led research assessment tool in Pond Inlet, Nunavut. Inuit youth have brought together their community, academic researchers, the Nunavut Research Institute as well as federal government researchers.
Expected outcomes: The result will be a research instrument, validated and developed by the Inuit communities, which will be used for advocacy processes with the Canadian authorities for a better system of scholarships for young people in the region.
