Local Partner: Kgalagadi Youth and Women`s Development Network

Background and objective:
Through the project on food and water security the organization intends to responding to the emerging food and water security which has been exacerbated by the covid-19 pandemic hampering effective service delivery were to the communities to and increasing vulnerability to the pandemic. Our project aims to minimize the water crises by providing water tanks in the community and to ensure food security and the sustainability thereof through gardens as well as improving service delivery through collaboration with local government, stakeholders and traditional leadership.
Local partner information: Kgalagadi Youth and Women`s Development Network (KYWDN) main aims are to provide community services and programmes to indigenous women and youth, with particular emphasis on Capacity building, Women and Human Rights, Domestic Violence, Development and Education of women and girls, assist with the schooling crisis in the Southern Kalahari and prevention of school dropouts, HIV/AIDS & Health Care, Environmental Education, Youth Empowerment and Advocacy, promotion and protection of Culture and Heritage of the Khomani San Community Indigenous community .
